Remove Dangerous Plants

There are many plants out there that look beautiful. You can place them on your patio or in the flowerbeds. However, some plants are not safe for cats to be around. Cats love to rub their faces up against various things. They will dig and roll around in flowerbeds if we give them the chance.

You need to make sure that you choose robust plants that will not harm your cat’s haven. Owning a cat does not mean that you have to have a boring back garden with just a patio or a stretch of grass. You can easily indulge in your gardening to create a beautiful space. Meanwhile, your feline friend has a safe place to live and play in!

Protect the Fences

Are you worried about your cat climbing out of your garden? You may want to let them out for exercise, but you are worried about them escaping. How do you keep them from venturing out?

One of the best options open to you is a cat proof fence. There are plenty of additions you can buy to help improve your existing fence. It’s also a security feature that prevents a person from climbing over. Adding a fence to your home means that you can let your cat out in the garden without your supervision. Certainly, you can go to bed knowing that your cat is safe in the haven.

Put a Cat Flap in Your Shed

Cats are masters at darting around our ankles without us knowing. In other words, this often means that we can shut them in sheds and other outbuildings without realising. They also like dark and quiet places such as these for a kip, so you might not even notice that your cat has vanished–and they could not respond when you call for them as you have a look around.

For this reason, it might be a good idea to install a cat flap in the door of your shed or any other outbuilding that you know your cat likes to frequent. This means that they will be able to come and go as they please. If you put a bed down inside too, you will have somewhere you can check if you can’t find your cat.

Your garden should be the perfect haven for both you and your cat. By ensuring that there are no dangers there, from the plants used, to spaces where a cat could trap themselves, you should try to make sure that you have all bases covered.
