What matters to me as an Interior Designer is not forgetting the finishing touches to the design. What are the finishing touches? The last things to go in to button up the project, the decorative lighting fixtures, and switch plates. I have always cursed the UGLY switch plates until Adorne by Legrand answered my prayers.
They even kicked it up a notch by collaborating with my favorite decorative lighting manufacturer, Hubbardton Forge. Hubbardton Forge is known for their handcrafted, one at a time by artisans, decorative metal lighting fixtures. I just love the collaboration of Legrand and Hubbardton Forge. Together the two powerhouse companies have created a collection of six lustrous metal switch plates, forged by fire to make Adorne’s switches and outlets a perfect mingling of switches to lighting fixtures.
What I am really celebrating as a multi-tasking fool, is the clever design of their outlets. They are engineered to accept two plugs, that’s right girls, you can plug your blow dryer and curling iron into the same outlet, how SMART is that and further more how stupid is the old design, just saying!
My own personal house, much like some of my remodel clients, is eclectic in its design personality. Some rooms, such as powder rooms or kid’s rooms, need unique finishes that give the space its own unique style from the rest of the house; Adorne has varieties to match all décors.
My home tour of decorative switches and lanterns will demonstrate the advantage of knowing about these innovated companies.
Design is in the details!
Hubbardton Forge created the character at the front door with burnished steel lanterns and I was able to carry it throughout my home with Adorne’s burnished steel switch plates. It’s important to me as an Interior Designer to find innovated companies like Legrand and Hubbardton Forge, giving me the tools to ROCK the design!
