During the month of May we have our focus set on bathroom design.  Chicago Interior Designer & TV Design Consultant, Erica Lugbill, has shared a few of her recent bathroom design projects with us.  Learn how to pull together more neutral tones that make a big statement.

Nature In Design

“Color doesn’t have to be used to make a space pop! Subdued, muted tones can be used to create an elegant, timeless look. Choosing tones with plenty of contrast that are within the same family is the key to creating interest when working with muted tones.” -Erica Lugbill

This elegant bathroom design features Carrera marble flooring along with classic white subway tile. The contrast between the dark gray walls and white trim completes this master bathroom.

Designer tip: purchase standard size stone flooring and have your installer cut it in half to create a custom size. This significantly cuts the cost of your materials and sets your bathroom apart from the rest.

These crystal chandeliers may be mini in scale, but they create a large impact within this master bathroom. Like and accessory is to an outfit, they are the perfect finishing touch for this classic bathroom.

Modern Cabinetry and Design

Shimmering recycled glass tile creates a dramatic accent wall in this contemporary master bathroom. The rich finishes in this space include espresso cabinetry, quartz countertops, ceramic tile, and marble stone.

By building a surround for a cabinet and tiling the enclosure, a custom storage solution was created. This turned a standard cabinet into a beautiful, integrated portion of the bathroom.

Many thanks to Erica Lugbill of Lugbill Designs for sharing her bathroom design inspiration in these gorgeous projects.
