Home Office Design Inspiration

With the internet making the world smaller and our reach farther it is becoming less and less necessary to have an office building in which we work.  Many of us enjoy the luxury of working from our own home office.  You can truly make it a luxury by moving your computer out of the kitchen and creating a home office design that’s a comfortable, inspiring space to work that is your own.

Try following the advice of our expert contributor and home office designer, Lisa Kanarek, to find your design inspiration when decorating your home office.

I’ve designed home offices for clients for years. Finally, after helping others create their dream home offices, I took the time to redesign my own home office.

Overall, I added color, texture and personal elements to my home office. I love going to work every day, even though the commute is only 10 seconds away!

My tip is to find something that inspires you and design around it. In my case, I found a rug I loved and selected the other elements of my home office, based on the colors and design of the rug.
