With the warmth of summertime just around the corner, it is time to get rid of the winter decor and gear up for a beautiful summer. This is also a great opportunity to give your home a summer makeover that is in tune with the season. Here are our top four favorite summer trends to lighten, brighten, and add some color into your home!

Summer Decor Trends

Brighten Your Mantel

Gone are the days of the cold winter months and with that you will no longer need to light up your fireplace. Make the mantel a focal point in your living space instead. Use light colored walls and then add splashes of color on the mantel with on-trend artwork, flowers, books and photographs.

Pop of Color

Adding a pop of color to a neutral space is a great way to get your home summer ready! Use neutral walls and furniture paired with bright accent pieces such as throw pillows, rugs, vases, and artwork to brighten up your home. This will truly create a high impact statement.

Textures

Combine a variety of textures that will add character to your space. With most modern homes being dominated by glossy lacquered surfaces, bring different materials into your home.

Outdoors Goes Indoors

The last trend that is big this summer is bringing in the outdoors, as this creates a feeling of nature and serenity. To do this, use large beautiful flowers and greenery in your space. Floral patterns are also big for the summer. The way to best incorporate these colors into your home is to use a neutral backdrop and pair with color!
